Gogea Mitu is the “Giant Romanian” – 7’9″
Gogea Mitu (born Dumitru Stefanescu) is a Romanian boxer that will be remembered for many things in sports history. At 7 feet 9 inches tall, he was the tallest Romanian ever. He is also the tallest boxer who has ever entered the ring. He began his career in the early 1930s and is known as ‘Goliath’ of Romania, who no one was able to defeat. Unfortunately, his boxing career ended after just three matches, which he all won by knockout.
Gursimran ‘Sim’ Bhullar – 7’5”
Gursimran, or ‘Sim,’ is a Canadian basketballer who has won many fans over with his talent and size. Sim’s parents, who were originally from India, immigrated to Canada prior to his birth. Sim is 7 feet 5 inches tall and has won both bronze and silver for the Canadian National Basketball Team. He is regarded as the NBA’s sixth tallest player. Sim played Kabaddi, a traditional Indian game before he started playing basketball.
