His father thought this was a great way to motivate Billie. Peggy was worried about the circumstances. Peggy informed Billie’s father that Peggy would never have such a conversation with a male unknown.

Billie was writing to Peggy long before he knew it. Peggy admits that she had some reservations about Billie at first, because of her unfamiliarity. Billie visited Peggy on her vacation, and the two women instantly became friends.
