It’s important to know the right terminology today when you describe people, whether it is about their race or gender. Even with the best of intentions, some people are unsure which word is appropriate to use and which one they should avoid to prevent harming someone.
We appreciate that this person asked a good question on how to best refer to the K-pop group everyone loves. Sometimes it’s a minefield.
Slavery Away
Oh my goodness! I find it quite embarrassing and surprising that someone who is so proudly American could not have a better understanding of their country’s less than glorious origins and history. There are, of course, stories about freedom and hope as well as the American Dream.
We can’t deny that the Atlantic Slave Trade was a major contributor to the early American success. This makes the comment, “We don’t need to import people to run the country” not only offensive, but also incorrect. Yikes.
