The high temperatures that are used to cook the steak can produce cancer-causing chemicals. It is believed that excessive consumption of meat, in general, increases your risk of cancer.
Alternatives– Choose organic grass fed beef and cook it with care.
3. Microwave Popcorn
When microwave popcorn is cooked, the butter flavoring releases diacetyl – a toxin. The perfluorooctanoic acids that line the bags are also carcinogenic. Popcorn producers do not have to disclose whether their kernels contain GMOs.
Alternatives– Purchase organic kernels, and pop them on an air popper.
