Post Nasal Drip and Runny Nose
You may need to blow your nose because the nasal discharge is green, cloudy, or yellow. This discharge is caused by drains that enter the nasal passages or infected sinuses. It may also drain into your throat, bypassing your nose. You may feel an itch or tickle on your throat, or a soreness. It is called postnasal dripping and can cause you to cough in the night, especially when you’re lying down. You might also hear a hoarse sound.
