High-Niacin Foods
Langerhans cell are immune cells that exist throughout the body. Niacin-rich foods such as peanuts, tuna, chicken, crustaceans and poultry can cause these cells to release compounds that increase inflammation, redness and pain. Vitamin B3, also known as niacin, is an essential nutrient for our nervous system and helps with metabolism. It should not be completely eliminated. If niacin is a trigger, then it’s worth avoiding these foods. Most Americans consume niacin.
