Different types of oil

Some oils have been shown to be effective in treating ringworm.

  • Coconut Oil –Coconut oils contains fatty acids which may kill fungi by damaging the cell membranes. Coconut oil can be used to treat mild to moderate skin infections. Apply liquid coconut oil three times a day to the skin. Coconut oil can also be used to moisturize the skin, which is an effective way of preventing ringworm.
  • Lemongrass Oil –Lemongrass Essential oil reduces ringworm and other types of fungus. Lemongrass oil is best used for ringworm by mixing it with carrier oil, and applying it twice daily to the skin with a cotton swab.
  • Oil Of OreganoOil made from wild oregano contains two powerful antifungals, thymus, and caracole. Oil of oregano is effective in stopping the growth of candida albans. Oil of oregano must be diluted with a carrier before using. Apply the oil more than three times per day to the affected area.
  • Lavender Oil –Lavender oils antifungal properties are effective for treating ringworm. The lavender oil eliminates the fungus completely. Apply it directly to the affected area twice a day until symptoms are gone.
  • Jojoba Oil –It’s a safe remedy to treat ringworm in babies. Apply a mixture of lavender oil and jojoba on the affected area several times per day until the symptoms disappear.
