Chest Pain
When a person experiences chest pain due to pulmonary embolism, it can feel like they are having a heartattack. You can feel the pain when you take a deep breath. It may even prevent you from doing so. Chest pain due to pulmonary embolism can also occur when a patient bends, coughs, or tries to crouch. Chest pain can also be severe if a person experiences a sudden deflating of the lungs, which usually occurs spontaneously or as a result of a chest injury.
