Palpitations
Tachypnea can be caused by larger blood clots, thrombi or other clots. Heart racing or palpitations mainly appear due to low cardiac output, mismatch in the ratio of ventilation/perfusion, and low oxygen content in blood. Blood clots that cause abnormalities in pulmonary vein pressure can cause severe palpitations, ventricular arrhythmias and even death.
