Do You Have High-Arched or Flat Feet?
Plantar fasciitis is more common in people with structural foot problems, such as flat feet or high arched feet. Some people who have tight Achilles tendon are more likely to tear or damage the plantar fascia, which is the ligament that supports the arch of the foot. Achilles tendons attach the calf muscle to the heel of the foot. The stiffness of these tendon can cause small tears on the surface. The tiny tears can cause inflammation and pain to spread from the heel outwards.
