Radiation therapy
Radiation therapy uses high-energy X-ray beams from sources such as protons or X-rays and focuses them on the patient’s body. Radiation therapy is an option for removing any residual cancer cells or growths after surgery. Patients with mesothelioma who are unable to undertake surgery benefit from radiation therapy in reducing the symptoms and signs of advanced cancer stages.
