Hoarseness of voice
The mesothelioma tumors begin to enlarge and can cause severe pain that worsens over time, as well as swelling of the vocal box, i.e., the pharynx located in the throat, resulting in a hoarse voice. This symptom is not experienced by all patients, but it is one of the warning indications of mesothelioma.
