Hunger
Extreme appetite is one of the most prevalent symptoms of hypoglycemia, and it almost always occurs in every individual with the condition. The decrease in blood glucose levels sends a signal to the nervous system to stimulate an intense appetite. However, hypoglycemia can cause the individual to lose interest in eating. As a result, the individual experiences constant hunger: polyphagia or increased hunger results from the abnormal decrease in blood glucose levels. Mild hypoglycemia can cause a person to feel hungry or nauseous, whereas severe hypoglycemia causes appetite to persist.
