Feeling shaky
Hypoglycemia causes the release of certain hormones, which stimulate the body’s natural stress response and cause trembling throughout the body, particularly in the limbs. A significant decline in blood sugar levels stimulates the endocrine system, causing the release of the hormones epinephrine and norepinephrine. As a result of their release following brain stimulation, the two hormones induce a rise in blood sugar levels. It appears that the release of epinephrine and norepinephrine causes additional symptoms of hand tremors and trembling. If a person abruptly experiences shakiness or limb tremors, they may be suffering from hypoglycemia. The nerves and muscles in the limbs require glucose in the blood to execute their function; however, when the blood lacks sufficient glucose, the limbs shake.
