Hypoglycemia Treatment

Immediate therapy:
After a correct diagnosis of hypoglycemia, prompt treatment is required. If a person is experiencing the symptoms of hypoglycemia, the primary treatment consists of the following steps:
15 to 20 grams of carbohydrates consumed by mouth or in the diet
Try to consume or drink foods that contain fast-acting carbohydrates but no fat or protein, so that the body can readily convert the food’s sugar into glucose and raise the glucose levels in the bloodstream. Fruit juice, sugary confectionery, honey, glucose gel, soft drinks, and glucose tablets are fast-acting starchy foods.
