Coordination problems
Coordination difficulties between muscles and nerve impulses serve as hypoglycemia warning signals for patients. The acute decrease in blood glucose levels deprives the brain of glucose and energy, resulting in impaired speech and an inability to coordinate. As there is insufficient fuel available for both the brain and the muscles to conduct a voluntary movement successfully, the response to stimuli becomes very sluggish. Coordination issues caused by hypoglycemia can make it difficult for patients to carry out their daily responsibilities.
