Blurred or impaired vision
Several hypoglycemic patients exhibit blurred or impaired vision due to hypoglycemia. Every organ in the body is negatively affected by hypoglycemia, including the eyes. When blood sugar levels decline below the average level, the individual experiences blurred vision until the blood sugar level returns to normal. The persistent condition of hypoglycemia may also cause vision impairment. Vision may become indistinct, lose contrast sensitivity, and become hazy as a result of an acute drop in blood sugar.
