Pneumothorax
Pneumothorax is when the lungs collapse. It is a condition marked by air or gas discharge in the pleural cavity. It happens when oxygen begins to leak into the spaces between the lungs and the chest wall. It can cause complete or partial collapse of the lungs. It causes acute chest discomfort and shortness of breath. Even life-threatening conditions are possible.
