Formation of polyps
Chronic inflammation of the nostrils causes the development of nasal polyps. When the lining of the nostril becomes inflamed and swollen, soft, noncancerous growths appear on the lining of the nasal passages. Polyps can obstruct the nasal passage and make breathing difficult.
