Constipation
Your stool is the most common cause of UTIs. Constipation makes it difficult to entirely empty the urinary bladder. This results in trapped bacteria having ample time to proliferate and cause an infection. On the other hand, faecal incontinence or diarrhoea can increase your risk of recurring UTIs by twofold. Because bacteria from diarrhoea or loose stools can readily cross and cause infection in the vagina and urethra.
