Underwear
Wearing tight jeans, knickers or pants can prevent the vaginal and scrotal areas from remaining clean and dry or from breathing correctly. This can lead to UTIs and other urinary tract infections.
Certain pants fabrics can exacerbate or alleviate the problem. Cotton and natural fabrics are the finest. Synthetic materials, nylons, and spandex can be too stifling and cause excessive sweating and perspiration. Excessive moisture and perspiration promote bacterial growth.
