Calming family members and friends
Eric spent the rest of the afternoon answering a number of messages from family and friends that told them not to worry and that everything would be sorted out tomorrow.
Most of them trusted him.
Some people did call the police
But the main issue was that not all the people who had recognized Eric had sent him a message about it. Most of them did not know Eric that well.
Some had immediately reported his location to the police.
