Lots of questions
Mark was quickly taken into custody in a frenzy of activity. Officers were rapidly convergent on him from every direction. Mark’s protests and his surprise did not stop their actions. He was handcuffed, his rights were read to him and then escorted to the police station where he would be subjected to a barrage questions and placed in a cold jail cell. As the doors of the police station closed behind him, the gravity of his situation became apparent.
The stern faces of the officers, and the cold, sterile environment they led him into, made it clear that he would be subjected to a long interrogation. The heavy metal chair and overhead lights, as well as the one-way reflection in the mirror, created a tense atmosphere. Mark took a deep breathe, trying to calm his racing heart. He mentally prepared himself for the barrage questions, the probing gazes, and the lengthy explanations that he would have to give in the coming hours.
