Mark was able to influence the officers’ judgement after he persuaded them and explained the tangible features of his discovery. Finally, they agreed to send someone to examine the object. Mark was sure that as soon as they saw the massive metal artifact protruding out of his garden, all doubts would be removed.
Mark’s story, full of oddities and strange coincidences, sounded more like something out of a science-fiction novel than an authentic account. The cryptic message from the previous owner only added to the air of doubt surrounding Mark’s story. Mark was left wondering if the officer would even investigate, or if they would dismiss his story as the ramblings a home owner with a lot of imagination
