Blocking
Mark felt the weight of the situation as he struggled to understand the warning and subsequent silence. He hurriedly drafted an email in a mixture of confusion and determination to try and get a detailed response from the former homeowner. As he clicked send, an error message appeared stating that his message was not delivered. Emails sent to the email address were blocked.
Mark, becoming more confused and anxious, tried to communicate with the other party by phone. Mark had saved a phone number from the previous interactions they had during the sale of their house. He dialed it and waited. Then he heard a distinct tone that indicated his number was blocked. The abrupt and complete cut-off made the mystery surrounding the artifact even more mysterious. Mark felt alone, with even more questions and no clear way forward.
