Some Symptoms Of Hyperopia (Farsightedness)
Farsightedness can make nearby objects appear blurry, and a single squint more visible. Farsightedness may also cause eyestrain. This can include aching or burning in the corners of the eye. It is possible that prolonged periods of reading, writing or working on a computer can cause eye discomfort or headaches. Presbyopia is not the same as farsightedness, because it can cause the lens to lose its elasticity.
Presbyopia usually appears after 45 years of age. LASIK won’t help this condition until a patient decides to cure each eye for close vision and stop some distant vision. Monovision is the term used to describe this condition. As a result, children with severe farsightedness may cross their eyes. This condition is known as accommodative Esotropia, and it usually occurs during early childhood. The safety of those with vision problems and others is also at risk if they are not treated, particularly when operating heavy machinery or driving.
