Dry eyes

After LASIK, some patients experience a decrease in the amount of tear product, which can cause a feeling of a foreign object, ocular discomfort or blurred vision. LASIK is not recommended for patients with dry eye disease. Patients with dry eye disease must choose other options for refractive surgery, such as the implantation phakic lenses. Dry eye, although temporary, is a common complication after LASIK.
