Recovery

Patients are generally satisfied and happy with LASIK surgery. Most patients achieve a 20/40 vision (without glasses or contact lenses). Nearly 90% of people achieve 20/20 vision. Some patients may experience new symptoms, such as halos, double images or starbursts. Contact or visit your eye specialist or healthcare provider immediately if this occurs. You may get the advice that you are looking for (that your symptoms will improve in a short time) or receive treatment to correct the problem.
Some people wear eyeglasses or contact lenses after surgery because they have blurred vision or a mild refractive residual. If your eye surgeon recommends that you wait two to three month before wearing contact lenses, then it is okay to wear glasses.
