LASIK Surgery

Laser in-situ Keratomileusis is a famous eye surgery which helps correct vision for individuals with farsightedness, nearsightedness and astigmatism. One of the most popular vision correction procedures, LASIK transforms the cornea (the visible front surface of your eye) so that the light is focused on your retina.
Why does it perform?
Your vision becomes blurry when the light is not focused correctly on the retina. This is called refractive errors by doctors. This type is made up of:
- Astigmatism The shape of your eyes can cause everything to become blurry.
- Farsightedness You can see objects far away, but things closer to you become blurred.
- Nearsightedness: When you are near-sighted, things in front of your face appear more clear. However, things far away become blurry.
Consult your doctor to determine if LASIK surgery is right for you. You should not be a candidate for the procedure if:
- Certain medications can be consumed
- You may have thin or uneven corneas
- You are nursing or pregnant
- Some eye conditions such as glaucoma or very dry eyes can be a problem.
- You are under 18 years old
- Recent changes in your eye prescription
