Multifocal Laser Surgery
This method involves your surgeon building concentric rings around your eye in order to correct your near-vision and your distance. You can then see at different distances. If you have multifocal lenses and would like to remove them, this is the best option for you. Multifocal laser surgery is available in many forms. The method is customized to meet the needs of each patient.
Monovision laser surgery
This is the most popular of the three laser presbyopia methods. During the procedure, the surgeon will correct each eye’s distance vision and intentionally stop the mildly nearsighted eye to reduce the need for reading glasses.
IntraCorp Laser Surgery
It is the newest method, and like multifocal surgery is currently not available in the U.S. IntraCo changes the corneal shape to increase the magnifying power. (8)
