Guava tea
Using guava tea significantly inhibits the activity and multiplication of influenza virus A and its subtype (H1N1), thereby reducing the incidence of clinical influenza. Guava tea’s active components inhibit the activity of sialidase and hemagglutination. Regular consumption of guava tea reduced the replication of the influenza virus noticeably. Guava tea’s active constituents generate pro-inflammatory cytokines and frequently stimulate antiviral activity in cells. Patients with influenza who consume guava tea produce larger levels of antibodies against influenza virus A and influenza virus B.
