How do I determine if my abdominal pain is serious?

Inflammatory bowel syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is characterised by abdominal discomfort and pain that may be alleviated by bowel movement. A change in bowel practises, such as constipation, diarrhoea, and sometimes both, as well as stomach swelling and distention. IBS symptoms may vary between individuals and affect the majority of people more frequently than others. Sometimes, symptoms worsen during times of tension or after consuming certain foods. After using the lavatory and moving your bowels, you may notice that some of your IBS symptoms subside.
