Spice oil
Traditionally, clove oil has been used to treat digestive issues including flatulence, bloating, and indigestion. Additionally, it may contain anti-ulcer properties. Taking clove oil after meals may increase digestive enzymes and reduce intestinal flatulence. Clove contains substances that may aid in reducing gastrointestinal gas and increasing gastric secretions. This may improve sluggish digestion, which may reduce discomfort and pressure. Cloves may help reduce nausea and vomiting.
A person with an unsettled stomach should combine one or two teaspoons of powdered or ground cloves with each teaspoon of honey once a day before bedtime. For heartburn and nausea, they must combine cloves with 8 ounces of boiling water to make clove tea, which they must consume slowly once or twice daily.
