Reflux gastroesophageal
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a serious condition characterised by recurrent acid reflux. Acid reflux may cause abdominal discomfort in the stomach that travels to the oesophagus. This may cause discomfort and cramping in the upper abdomen. Because GERD can cause severe acid regurgitation, it can also cause severe abdominal pain.
