Take the box
They both hated to be in the circle so decided to hurry up. Tommy’s hands were trembling as he reached out for the box. A cold sweat was breaking out on his forehead.
Chris gently pulled apart the fingers of the skeleton and with a final tug, Tommy yanked the box away from the skeleton, echoing the sound cracking bones in the ancient chamber.
A strange language
They concluded that the language on the box was foreign, possibly ancient. The three of them could have looked at the box for hours and still not gained any knowledge, they thought.
They wanted to know the meaning of the signs and even more importantly, what was in the box.
