Foot Surgery
Surgery for foot pain is based on the foot condition and underlying cause. Surgery is sometimes performed only to relieve symptoms.
Foot fracture surgery
Minor fractures of the bone can heal on their own, but complex fractures may require surgery to heal properly. This surgery is performed while the patient is sedated. A surgeon will make an incision at the fracture site, and then align the broken pieces of bone as precisely as possible. The surgeon then fixes the aligned arrangement using screws and nails. Foot fracture surgery can have a number of side effects.
- Swelling
- Redness
- Blood Clots
