Athlete’s Foot
Tinea pedis is another name for athletes foot. This is a fungal infection that is contagious and is most common among athletes. The fungal infection known as tinea fungus is the cause of athlete’s foot. This infection can cause blisters, skin peeling or itching. The result is foot pain. The creases on the feet are a good environment for fungus to grow in, as it grows rapidly in warm environments.
