Prostate Enlargement or Prostate Cancer
Men with prostate enlargement or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) also experience erectile dysfunction due to compromised nerves and blood vessels surrounding the penis. Males who recover from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate, may experience erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory problems, and erection problems. Although BPH itself does not cause erectile dysfunction, some BPH treatments can result in an inability to achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for a satisfying sexual encounter.
