Treatment Of Eating Disorders
There are a variety of treatment options available for eating disorders. [10] Following are additional descriptions of each form of therapy.
CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and CBT-E (enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy) are two cognitive behavioral therapies.
The objective of cognitive behavioral therapy is to identify the beliefs and thoughts that are intertwined with an eating disorder.
Among these may be opinions or convictions regarding:
Food Form of the body Weight Appearance
Once these thoughts and beliefs have been identified, you will be taught how to modify and manage them. Cognitive behavioral therapy can be used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, and patients receiving CBT for eating disorders report improvements in symptoms such as depression and anxiety. All forms of eating disorders are treated with CBT-E (enhanced).
