Electroencephalography EEG

This is a diagnostic technique used to detect any abnormalities in the electrical conduction or brain currents. These electrical currents are picked up by electrodes from the cranium and recorded as waves. Patients with epilepsy may exhibit odd electrical waves even during the intraictal phase, which occurs between seizures. These waves are detected and can also provide information about the type of epilepsy and its location of origin.
