Tongue enlargement: In some cases of food-induced anaphylaxis, the tongue may become disproportionately enlarged, distended, and painful.
Inability to speak: The enlarged tongue can occupy the entire mouth, resulting in obstruction of the oral cavity and difficulties with speech articulation.
Additionally, patients may experience a metallic taste or a searing sensation on the tongue.
