Definition, Symptoms, Causes, Triggers, Risk Factors, Diagnosis, Complications, Prevention, Treatment, and Management of Anaphylaxis.

Anaphylaxis and Anaphylactic Shock

Allergy can be used to refer to milder symptoms, such as a skin irritation or watery eyes. However, anaphylaxis is a systemic allergic reaction; it is pervasive and involves multiple organs. When this reaction becomes severe enough to compromise the blood supply to vital organs, it is referred to as anaphylactic shock, which is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment.
