Unfocused attentiveness
The majority of mental health problems manifest with the common complaint of attention deficit. Nearly 90% of anxiety patients reported concentration difficulties. Constant anxiety, irritability, and conscious awareness of how anxiety affects the body occupy a substantial portion of brain activity. It is also referred to in scientific terms as working memory. It may be difficult for the patient to concentrate on the task at hand. Constant anxiety substantially impairs the capacity for processing and applying information. In reality, anxiety patients are rarely procrastinators or slackers as is commonly believed.
