Psychological Trauma
Often, ineffective trauma management can have long-lasting consequences. Repetitive emotional trauma without the opportunity or time to recover can result in mental health issues. In this regard, separation anxiety is an extremely convincing example. Children who experience separation, parental divorce, or the loss of a beloved pet may develop separation anxiety in relation to any other intimate relationship.
Similarly, the emotional burden of the workplace, consistent deadlines, and reprimands from superiors can all contribute to the development of anxiety in individuals who are already susceptible.
