Pseudogout
Pseudogout is a condition that is frequently mistaken for gout. The symptoms of this joint disorder closely resemble those of an acute attack of gout.
The significant distinction between pseudogout and gout is that crystals of calcium phosphate cause joint pain, as opposed to uric acid crystals. Pseudogout is treated differently than gout.
