Common Prediabetes Complications
The most grievous repercussion of prediabetes is the development of type 2 diabetes. Pre-Diabetes is associated with unnoticed (silent) heart attacks and may damage your kidneys, despite the fact that you have not been deteriorating. Prediabetes does not have as many complications, but if left untreated, it can develop into type 2 diabetes, which can lead to severe complications. This is due to diabetes, which may result in:
cardiac disease
elevated blood pressure
Ischemic Stroke
elevated triglycerides
Renal disease
Surgical amputations
Nerve injury
Eye injury
Apnea while sleeping
neuropathic disease
Skin diseases
Diabetes-related dermatitis
Vision problems probably result in vision loss.
When lifestyle and dietary interventions fail to produce a 10 to 5 percent reduction in body weight, pharmacologic agents may be prescribed to patients with a BMI of less than 30 kg/m2.
