Anti-Angiogenic Medication
The medications are injected directly into the eye; they prevent the leakage of new aberrant blood vessels, which occurs in wet macular degeneration. Several studies have demonstrated that individuals with AMD recover their lost vision. The patient may require recurrent treatment during subsequent visits.
