Brain Tumor Symptoms
Headaches
Headaches are not always a sign of brain cancer, but they are the first sign. This headache is different from other headaches. This headache is a dull, localized pain that can occur while sleeping and gets worse after bending, coughing, etc. The headaches become more intense over time and are resistant to painkillers. A sudden, different type of headache occurs.
In the early stages, brain tumors can be asymptomatic. As the tumor grows, headaches can occur because the tumor is pressing on a nearby nerve or it may cause the pressure in the fluid surrounding the brain to increase. The pressure and/or swollen tumour press on the membranes of the brain and activate the pain receptors that cause the headache.
