Biopsy
A biopsy is an examination in which the doctor extracts cells from tissue suspected of being cancerous for the purpose of identifying the cause, and measuring the extent, of the malformation. The doctors may suggest a biopsy if the results of the tests are abnormal. This is an invasive procedure that can determine whether the tumors are benign or malignant. A sample of the brain is taken from the skull after an incision.
