Cerebral angiography

The cerebral angiography produces images of the brain’s blood vessels. It can show which artery is supplying blood to the tumour and how close or far it is from the major arteries. The X-rays produce images, and an iodine dye is added to improve the pictures. This is a invasive procedure where a catheter is injected in an arm or leg, and then guided to the head for examination of the problem area. The doctor can also use it during surgery.
